The Friends of WIJPS (FWIJPS) is the fund-raising committee which raises the extra money for resources and equipment that the school budget does not stretch to. Whatever it raises is always carefully spent to ensure the children at WIJPS benefit directly.

Activities and events

FWIJPS holds various fund-raising events throughout the school year. Past events include an Abba tribute evening, an Israeli night to celebrate Israel’s 60th birthday, poker tournament, quiz evening, bingo night, summer fun day, sponsored “Wellie Walk” and a Chanukah party for the children.

School uniform

FWIJPS sells various items of school uniform throughout the year and all profits are ploughed straight back into the school. Order forms are available from the rack in the school foyer or they can be downloaded from below or from the News and Information Room for Parents within Fronter.

Monies raised

Over the past few years, FWIJPS has raised over £70,000. With that money it has purchased, at the school’s request, a large number of essential items. These include:
A television and video for each classroom
Equipment and storage space for the school’s nursery
Two new water fountains
A new kit for the school football team
New sports equipment
New Jewish studies books
Classroom resources
Refurbishment of the library
Whiteboards for every classroom
Adventure playground and outdoor gazebo
PCs for classrooms

Remember, it is only with the support of parents that we are able to raise much needed cash. Thank you to all those who have supported us in the past and we very much look forward to seeing you – and some new faces – at future events. Remember, every penny raised goes back into the school which ultimately benefits our children!
Interested in joining?

We are always delighted to have new members join our committee and we welcome fresh ideas. We normally meet once a month during term time. So if any mums, dads or grandparents have any spare time and would like to join the committee, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Laura Marks or Melissa Caplin via the school office or email for more information.

The role of the PTA is to assist the school with
a programme of various festivals and events.

PTA members volunteer to help as much or as little as they can!

If you feel you would be interested in helping in any way,
please contact the PTA via the school office.
